tai ką visada tau norėjau padovanoti
You have to look for more than 3 seconds those pictures take take effect. Pulsing picture experiment.
some scenes have hazy atmosphere, though photos reflecting it are sharp and clear. I feel realistic details are essential in photography. Though at the same time the scene can be mentally ‘hazy’. To help our inner interpretations I add pulsation between two – sharp details and blurry vision.
If anybody have something to say – do it..

morning and the magic place between sleep and awake – silence, the inner dialog stays away. The light squeezes through a window and shadows draw some meaning on my white wall. That is the greeting of the sun, flash of eternity.

LT.
autumn time, it’s nice to have Evule (Evelina Simone) in front. Short evening time – the sun is near horizon and the light becomes soft and warm, no harsh shadows.
……………………………………………….
LT.
Below photos are taken on Wilhem Canal (Klaipeda), my regular cycling place.
Sekančios foto iš Vilhelmo kanalo Klaipėdoje, buvusi mano nuolatos dviračiu lankoma vieta.

bright space with wide window – that was the painting studio. Spring. I never was disciplined student, but those Friday mornings were exception – I felt easy and fluent to relocate the Atmosphere to the visuals. This time lecturer picked white peeled chair. Aesthetically impressive vintage object, though surrounding air was the most important.

LT. Šviesi, plačių langų tapybos studija, pavasaris. Niekada nebuvau disciplinuotas studentas. Tačiau tie penktadieniai buvo išskirtiniai – per pusmetį nepraleidau nei vienos tapybos paskaitos, kuri prasidėdavo 10 valandą ryte. Dėstytojos parinktas tapybos objektas – senos, atsilupusios medinės kėdės, man pasirodė labai tinkamas objektas perteikiant aplink supančią atmosferą.

It really inspired me, supporting to polish my style. Those are Tori Amos “Little Earthquakes” and “Under the Pink” visuals – booklet photos and videos (made by Cindy Palmano).
I think they came at the same time as I was finding the way to express my moods and atmospheres, which are a bit similar in those Tori Amos material – feeling of lightness, joy, naive simplicity, neutrality and a little of playfulness. There I find a good kind of synthesis: fine art minimalism with impresionistic feel, finalized by a touch of personality.
Adding from WhiteCoastArt perspective..: thoughtful and wet lightness.. something that I feel laying on damp sand on the sea coast at the evening sky, when the group of seagulls fly home staring at that strange alone object.. Another way of characterizing that layer – it has no sexuality, it’s plane in that field, has it’s own mental space.
Looking at Tori Amos videos – it’s easy to tell they are not made by filmmaker, but by photographer/designer – they are clean and stark, not overpowered – maximum result is achieved with minimal means. They are first’s videos made by Cindy Palmano.
Sometimes it’s called “prop-styling”:
It’s common, photo authors mention their photo equipment next to their nature or landscape photos. Uniformly it’s a note of camera and glass model. What the purpose of this picky information, if any, even the cheapest, most basic SLR camera is capable for that type of pictures..? The valuable photo – I call it direct result of individual mind, sharp eye and some hunting instinct.
Yeah, but some equipment play the role. This post is dedicated to my machine, which without it 97% of my photos wouldn’t have happened.

LT. Įprasta šalia gamtovaizdžio fotografijos paminėti smulkius technikos parametrus; kameros modelis, optikos skaičiai. Koks tikslas?
Be šio prietaiso apie 97% mano fotografijos nebūtų atsitikę.
little fragments of death,
wrapped in damp smell
by cycle of fresh morning and wise evening.
updated Kuršių Nerija album
I never find photo inspiration inside the city. It’s too much of details, background mixes with forefront. Escaping from London’s abundance, I followed downstream Thames path to the open space. Found some nice derelict industrial corners.

LT. Mano ranka visada nusvyra fotografuoti miesto aplinką. Radau jaukius apleistus pramoninius kampelius.
Canary Wharf – London’s financial centre, office place for Barclays, Citigroup, Clifford Chance, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, KPMG, Thomson Reuters and the other major financial giants. Overall it’s soulness place – the symbol of capitalism.
This time, looking through a camera lens the context doesn’t matter. Instead, I concentrate on the direction of lines, and relation between the sky and shapes.

LT. Canary Wharf – Londono finansinis centras, bedvasis kapitalizmo simbolis.
It’s over, but I’m dreaming about Winter. Opening my archives.
………………………………
I always went around this photo in doubt. It has correctly composed lines, but very simplistic, minimum of content. Even so in some way it catches attention, creates strange feeling.
Pole with non standard form plate against the dull sky, some hand written numbers, some strange winter mood.. Though it’s pointless to look for symbols, confusing..
I acknowledge the attention this photo grabbed from me and include it to Winter album. Revealing the intrigue – it’s mark of foresters on foredune near the sea coast in Curonian Spit.

Another from the same series:
…………………………..
This one I call one off my most meaningful ones. Wide open space on the frozen lagoon – the fishing poles create some order or rules on the wide space. The wind is free here and the flag implies that. I have no notion to apply the broad meaning of flag symbol. Emotionally it feels for me like fluttering soul in the abyss of beautiful space.
From the same space:
When the silence sings. (The following wood is not included to Winter album, as doesn’t have printing quality.)
Some plain pictures – short flashy evening moment after cloudy day.
The east side: red light perfused sandy dunes, but clouds remained dull and dark . Not photoshop colored. Steep angle of the sun – shadows became rapacious.
Magic, sudden, but in photographic sense a bit lost moment; I didn’t have prepared any objects for the scene.
West side: a tiny gap between earth and cloudscape, the source of magic. That’s where the sun squeeze through for the 10 minutes, before it sinks down and shadow floods the world. In esoteric sense – sunset is when the gap between the two worlds is closest, between shadow and light.
lately a friend of mine invited me to help ornithologist in ringing the birds. At silent evening we waited for the owls. Mist-net, erected between poles, is used to capture birds.
Before sun came down, I took shots of the net. The wavy forms, transparent layers complement the elements of Kuršių Nerija nature, all natural and human-made details merge into one special atmosphere. I add it to Kuršių Nerija album.

LT. Esu dėkingas Paulinai, kuri mane pakvietė ornitologui padėti žieduoti pelėdžiukus. Mes tyliai tupėjome tamsoje ir laukėme kada naktinis paukštis papuls į tinklą.
Prieš nusiledžiant saulei išnaudojau progą foto kamera apčiuopti ornitologo tinklus. Banguojantis audinys, tiesios stulpų linijos.. Žmogaus rankų kurinys organiškai susilieja su gamta, papildo ypatingą Kuršių Nerijos atmosferą.
The evening sun comes through my window and the objects meet their shadows on the white wall. Things become alive. With these pictures I’m starting ‘Still life’ album.

LT. Per langą apsilanko vakaro saulė, daiktai pabunda, sutinka savo šešėlį. Šiomis nuotraukomis pradedu natiurmortų albumą .
